Getting Ahead The Smart Way

Getting Ahead The Smart Way
By Yinka Aderibigbe

Life’s journey can be hard. That’s a simple fact that many have found too distasteful to handle. Yet, for those who know how to play the game, you could still have your roses even in the midst of thorns. How? You play it smart.

The question that may agitate your mind is ‘how do I play smart in a life full of contradictions?’ The real lesson I have discovered and which studies have shown, that has passed from generations of human existence is that no man ever achieve his heart’s desire who is not willing to play smarter than the circumstances that buffets him.

Take the lion for example. He is always on the prowl, yet most of the time he never get ahead until he jumps on his prey. That is some smartness at that level.

You too can jump on your problems. Why not? You can. What you need to succeed is a well defined plan that can be turned into a goal. But about 70 percent of the time, we are too buried in our despair to realize that we need to plan our exit strategy from failure that stare us in the face. Are you reading this piece and you fall into this category? Pause awhile and take stock of your life. In taking stock, first you must be truthful to yourself and assess how you found yourself in the pit.

Next, do an introspection on how you can get out of it .You will marvel at the deluge of options before you. From this point you will discover that the reason why failures persist is because we never thought solutions could be so near. From your list of options, you can pick the best that suits your situation.

But above all else, one thing works beyond all else. Don’t be too big to ask the ever present powers of the universe for help whenever you need it. The step is very simple. Just clap your hands together in prayers and shout “I need help”. It works if only you can try.

"I pretended to be somebody I wanted to be until finally I became that person. Or he became me."

Recently a prospective client told me a little story. He had attended a party in his industry, that is, the industry, he wants to be successful in. As he drove there, he began feeling jitters and a general sense that he didn't belong. There were going to be several influential people in the field, and he started out telling himself he was a nobody.

We've all had these thoughts and emotions, especially when it's about something important. Simple insecurity in any situation is certainly no fun, but when it's in the face of something we really want, it can be debilitating. As .. [Click to continue]

Love It or Leave It

Love It or Leave It
By Michael Lee

I would like to discuss another reason why many people are set up for failure. It's because they don't love what they're doing.

To succeed in any endeavor, you must venture into one that you love doing or something that you're good or skilled at.

That doesn't mean you have to quit your job if you're not satisfied with it, but use it as a temporary channel to help you arrive at your desired destination.

For example, you can think of creative ways to make your hobby a lucrative business or occupation. You can do this part-time while still being employed.

Instead of watching TV, chatting nonsense, or drinking at the bar, use your time productively. Read books, listen to audios, attend seminars or classes, .. [Click to continue]

Pull Your Life into Focus

Pull Your Life into Focus
By Bill Gluth

Over the weekend I was invited by a new friend to participate in a marketing blow out program in Atlanta.

It was an exceptional event with great, like minded people. Everyone there was dedicated to one goal. Growing, prospering and enriching their life with a small business.

I noticed something interesting about the most successful people at this event -- the people earning seven and eight figures annually.

They knew their market inside out and they had a plan (systems and processes) to make their business work better than everyone else’s.

Basically, they were aware, focused and taking meaningful ACTION to achieve everything they wanted in business and life.

So, what does this elite group of .. [Click to continue]
